Prof. Bruce Krogh, KCRC Chairman
Bruce Krogh is Professor emeritus of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He was founding director of Carnegie Mellon University Africa, a branch of Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Engineering in Kigali, Rwanda. Throughout his career, Professor Krogh’s research has focused on the integration of computation, communication and control in a number of areas, including robotics, manufacturing, and smart grids. He has been a consultant to companies in the aircraft and automotive industries and has held visiting faculty positions Germany and France. He is currently a member of the technical staff of Carnegie Mellon's Software Research Institute where his research focuses on methods for guaranteeing safety and security of cyber-physical systems. He has served as the editor of several journals and conference proceedings and was founding Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Distinguished Member of the IEEE Control Systems Society.
